about

A music box is being wound. Natalie takes a bath as I speak to Granny on the phone (her end of the conversation isn't recorded). A new toy, given to Natalie by Granny and Papoo, repeats everything that it hears. It is a hamster. It moves. Granny leaves a voicemail eager to know how Natalie likes it.

An electric bass with a harmonica for a bridge is slowly bowed as a glass slide moves from left to right over the string(s) in a repetitive motion.

We pay Granny and Papoo a visit. They have dogs. Stephanie describes the intricacies of raising a squirrel from infancy. Granny and Papoo come to our house for a visit. I show them the brass rod piano I rebuilt. Granny plays some songs on it.

An electronic reader pen scans the words to 'The Duel' by Eugene Field from The Big Golden Book of Poetry. It reads the lines noisily with quite a few mistakes. I remember Granny reading this book to me when I was a little boy.

Some previously recorded material present on the tapes leaks through. Repetitions occur.
