about

An irregularly paced, octave jumping boogie woogie is performed on the organ. A Balinese terompet sounds sporadically. The percussion, all electric, is played blindly on the organ and keyboard.

A film class project requires me to ask questions to an older family member about films. I choose my grandfather and ask him the sample questions given to us (verbatim) as I am a bit unenthusiastic about this particular project. These are his responses. The questions themselves have been rerecorded, spoken with the aid of an electrolarynx, without consonants.

We talk about my job over the phone. I'm tired of the routine, but it's necessary at the moment. In a later phone conversation I ask about Granny's health. She's been in the hospital for nearly a week now with pneumonia.
